About Organic
Since our inception in 1990 in Tunbridge, Vermont, The Organic Cow has helped over 100 local, family farms convert to organic to help us produce milk without antibiotics, growth hormones, pesticides or cloning.
Our commitment to organic begins with our cows. Our respected friends and partners, the focus of our farms is centered on keeping them healthy and allowing them to produce milk in harmony with nature. That means:
- No antibiotics, added growth hormones or cloning
- Clean surroundings and ample pasture time
- A healthy diet of only certified organic grains and hay
- No use of fertilizers, herbicdes or pesticides on our fields
By doing this we not only ensure the health of our cows, but also the health of our farms and the health of New England as a whole.
